This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the national standard GB/T 261-2008 "Determination of Flash Point - Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Method" and the ASTM D93 standard. It is suitable for determining the flash point of flammable liquids, liquids that tend to form a film on the surface under test conditions, and other liquids according to the method specified in GB/T 261 standard. It is applicable to samples with a flash point above 40℃. It is not suitable for water-containing paints or liquids containing highly volatile materials.

      This instrument is used to determine the closed cup flash point of petroleum products. Under the conditions specified in the GB/T261 standard, petroleum products are heated in a sealed oil cup. When the vapor of the petroleum products mixes with the surrounding air and comes into contact with a flame, causing a flash fire, the lowest temperature of the petroleum products is recorded, which is the closed cup flash point of the petroleum products.
